Prof. Liu Dun elected President of IUHPS/DHST

At the 23rd International Congress of History of Science and Technology, recently held in Budapest, Hungary, Prof. Liu Dun from the Institute for the History of Natural Sciences under the Chinese Academy of Sciences was elected the President of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science, Division of History of Science and Technology (IUHPS/DHST).

Prof. Liu Dun is one of the leading scholars of history of science in China and enjoys good international reputation, whose main research field is Chinese mathematics-astronomy and its interaction with the social context.  Prof. Liu Dun was the President of the Chinese Society for the History of Science and Technology ( 2004-2008).
